Responsibilities of a Medication Access Coordinator (MAC)

As a Medication Access Coordinator, your primary responsibility will be to ensure the smooth and efficient management of medication access processes. This includes:

  • Coordinating and overseeing all aspects of the 340B program
  • Working closely with pharmacy staff, providers, and stakeholders to identify eligible patients and medications
  • Verifying and maintaining compliance with 340B program requirements and regulations
  • Collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to resolve issues related to medication access and eligibility
  • Developing and implementing strategies to optimize medication access and reduce costs
  • Conducting regular audits and assessments to ensure program integrity and compliance

Requirements

To succeed in this role, you should possess:

  • A bachelor's degree in healthcare administration, pharmacy, or a related field
  • Prior experience in pharmacy operations, medication access, or a similar role
  • Thorough knowledge of 340B program regulations and compliance
