The Role of a Pulmonary Function Tech

As a Pulmonary Function Tech, your primary responsibility will be to perform a variety of diagnostic tests to evaluate the respiratory function of patients. This includes conducting spirometry tests, measuring lung volumes, administering bronchodilators, and analyzing test results. You will work closely with a team of healthcare professionals, including physicians and respiratory therapists, to provide accurate and timely test results.

Qualifications and Skills

To succeed in this role, you should have:

  • A degree in Respiratory Therapy or a related field
  • Certification as a Pulmonary Function Tech
  • Experience working with pulmonary function testing equipment
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to follow instructions
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work well in a fast-paced and collaborative team environment
