Bay Regional Medical Center is currently seeking a Medical Assistant to join our Adult Medicine department located at RiverBend Medical Group in Agawam. Responsibilities
- Assist physicians and nurses with patient examinations and procedures
- Take patient vital signs and record medical history
- Administer medications and injections as directed by healthcare providers
- Perform phlebotomy and collect laboratory specimens
- Coordinate patient referrals and assist with insurance authorizations
- Maintain medical records and ensure accuracy of documentation
- Provide patient education on medications, procedures, and health maintenance
Qualifications
- Completion of a Medical Assisting program
- Certification as a Medical Assistant
- Prior experience in a medical office or clinical setting
- Proficient in electronic medical record systems
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
