Join Our Adult Medicine Team at RiverBend Medical Group in Agawam

Are you passionate about providing excellent patient care and want to contribute to a dynamic healthcare team? Bay Regional Medical Center is currently seeking a Medical Assistant to join our Adult Medicine department located at RiverBend Medical Group in Agawam. This full-time position offers 40 hours per week, providing an excellent opportunity for professional growth and development.

Responsibilities

  • Assist physicians and nurses with patient examinations and procedures
  • Take patient vital signs and record medical history
  • Administer medications and injections as directed by healthcare providers
  • Perform phlebotomy and collect laboratory specimens
  • Coordinate patient referrals and assist with insurance authorizations
  • Maintain medical records and ensure accuracy of documentation
  • Provide patient education on medications, procedures, and health maintenance

Qualifications

  • Completion of a Medical Assisting program
  • Certification as a Medical Assistant
  • Prior experience in a medical office or clinical setting
  • Proficient in electronic medical record systems
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
