Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to develop personalized return-to-work plans for individuals on medical leave.
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments of individuals' health status, considering physical, mental, and emotional factors.
  • Coordinate with employers, insurance companies, and healthcare providers to ensure a smooth transition back to work.
  • Provide counseling and support to individuals as they navigate the challenges of resuming employment.
  • Evaluate workplace environments and recommend reasonable accommodations to facilitate successful reintegration.
  • Keep accurate records of assessments, progress, and outcomes for each individual.
  • Stay up-to-date on relevant laws, regulations, and industry best practices related to return-to-work programs.

Qualifications:

  • A bachelor's degree in a related field (e.g., healthcare management, psychology, social work).
  • Previous experience in vocational rehabilitation, case management, or a related position.
  • Strong empathy and patience, with the ability to provide emotional support to those facing work reentry challenges.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams.
  • Familiarity with relevant laws and regulations, such as the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA).
