Responsibilities

As a Lead Pharmacy Tech, you will play a vital role in maintaining the efficient operations of our pharmacy department. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Assisting pharmacists in dispensing medications and ensuring accuracy
  • Managing inventory and ensuring proper storage of pharmaceuticals
  • Compounding medications as per established protocols
  • Providing medication counseling to patients
  • Collaborating with healthcare professionals to optimize patient care
  • Supervising and training junior pharmacy technicians
  • Following all regulatory requirements and maintaining proper documentation

Requirements

To be successful in this role, candidates should meet the following requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Completion of an accredited pharmacy technician training program
  • Current pharmacy technician certification (CPhT)
  • Prior experience in a hospital or clinical pharmacy setting
  • Strong knowledge of pharmacy operations and drug distribution systems
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in medication dispensing
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced healthcare environment
