Bay Regional Medical Center is currently looking for a skilled and experienced Nerve Conduction/EMG Technician to join our health team in Ft. Lauderdale. As a Nerve Conduction/EMG Technician, you will play a vital role in diagnosing and treating patients with nerve-related conditions. Job Responsibilities

  • Perform nerve conduction studies and electromyography (EMG) tests on patients to evaluate their peripheral nerves and muscles
  • Prepare and set up equipment for testing, ensuring proper functionality
  • Record and analyze test results, maintaining accurate documentation
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to assist in diagnosing and treating patients
  • Provide patient education and explanation of test procedures
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area
  • Adhere to safety guidelines and protocols
  • Stay updated with the latest industry advancements and technologies

Qualifications and Requirements

To be considered for the Nerve Conduction/EMG Technician position at Bay Regional Medical Center, candidates must meet the following requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Completion of an accredited Nerve Conduction/EMG Technician program
  • Certification as a Nerve Conduction/EMG Technician
  • Prior experience in performing nerve conduction studies and electromyography tests
  • Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and neurology
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Attention to detail and ability to multitask
  • Ability to work independently and as a team
  • Proficiency in using EMG/NCV equipment and software
