Job Responsibilities

  • Assist healthcare providers in the delivery of patient care, including taking vital signs, preparing patients for examination, and documenting medical history.
  • Perform basic laboratory tests and procedures, such as blood draws and specimen collection, in compliance with established protocols.
  • Administer medications and assist with minor procedures under the direction of a healthcare provider.
  • Maintain patient records and ensure accurate documentation of all clinical activities.
  • Provide patient education and support to promote health and wellness.
  • Collaborate with other members of the healthcare team to ensure coordinated and efficient patient care.

Qualifications and Requirements

To be considered for the Medical Assistant position at Bay Regional Medical Center's Family Medicine Center, candidates should meet the following requirements:

  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program.
  • Certification as a Medical Assistant (CMA) preferred.
  • Prior experience in a healthcare setting is strongly preferred.
