Responsibilities of a Clinical Nurse-PACU (PRN)

As a Clinical Nurse-PACU (PRN), your primary responsibility will be to provide expert nursing care for patients recovering from anesthesia. Your duties may include:

  • Assessing patients' conditions and monitoring vital signs
  • Administering medications and assisting in pain management
  • Ensuring patients' safety and comfort during the recovery process
  • Collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans
  • Performing post-operative assessments and documenting patients' progress

Your expertise and attention to detail will contribute to the overall success of our PACU department. Your ability to provide compassionate care while utilizing evidence-based practices will make a significant impact on our patients' recovery journeys.

Qualifications and Requirements

As a Clinical Nurse-PACU (PRN), the following qualifications and requirements are necessary:

  • Graduate of an accredited nursing program
  • Current registered nurse (RN) license in the state of Maryland
  • Minimum of two years of PACU or critical care experience
  • Advanced knowledge of post-anesthesia nursing principles and practices
  • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
