About the Position
As a Registered Nurse - Operating Room, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safety and well-being of our surgical patients. You will work alongside a team of surgeons, anesthesiologists, and other healthcare professionals to provide top-notch surgical care.
Responsibilities:
- Assessing and monitoring patients before, during, and after surgical procedures
- Preparing the operating room and assisting with surgical equipment setup
- Assisting surgeons during procedures by passing instruments and supplies
- Administering medications and anesthesia as directed by the surgical team
- Monitoring vital signs and ensuring patients are comfortable and well-supported
- Providing post-operative care and instructions to patients and their families
Requirements:
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Illinois
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in an Operating Room setting
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to prioritize tasks and make critical decisions under pressure
