Your Role as a Patient Care Assistant

As a Patient Care Assistant at Bay Regional Medical Center, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the comfort and well-being of our patients during their stay. Working the night shift, you will provide hands-on assistance and support to the nursing staff, helping with various tasks such as:

  • Assisting with bathing, dressing, and personal hygiene
  • Monitoring vital signs and reporting any changes to the nursing team
  • Helping patients with mobility and positioning
  • Preparing and serving meals
  • Assisting with medication administration
  • Supporting patients and their families by providing emotional and psychological support
  • Maintaining a clean and safe environment for patients

Requirements and Qualifications

To excel in this role, you should possess the following qualifications:

  1. High school diploma or equivalent
  2. Completion of a certified nursing assistant (CNA) program
  3. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  4. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic healthcare setting
  5. Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions

  7. Ability to maintain patient confidentiality at all times
  8. Availability to work night shifts, including weekends and holidays
