Responsibilities of a Sterile Processing Tech

As a Sterile Processing Tech at Bay Regional Medical Center, you will be responsible for:

  • Cleaning, decontaminating, and sterilizing surgical instruments and equipment
  • Preparing and assembling instrument trays
  • Ensuring equipment is properly maintained and functional
  • Assisting the surgical team in the operating room with instrument setups
  • Maintaining accurate records and documentation
  • Following all infection control and safety protocols

Qualifications and Requirements

In order to be successful as a Sterile Processing Tech at Bay Regional Medical Center, you should meet the following requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Completion of an accredited Sterile Processing Tech program
  • Certification as a Sterile Processing Tech preferred
